Lisell Travel is the product of two people’s love of traveling. Over time, those two people (my parents) passed that passion onto their daughters. This led to frequent vacations exploring over land, cruising the oceans and seas, and countless adventures along the way. I am grateful to be one of those daughters. Being a travel agent with my mother and sister, is a true blessing. LuAnn Lisell, our President and Owner, will go into more detail about the process of forming the agency in a later post.
Now, I guess it is time to explain the title of this post: #LisellsOnTheLoose. The hash tag was created during our first ever “Girls Trip” to Florida this summer. At first, we were looking for an easy way to link our Instagram and Facebook photos. We found ourselves reminiscing about past vacations and laughing at the same stories of our adventures (and mishaps!) over the past 30+ years. For those of you that do not know, we lost my father (Rick) to cancer this year, at the end of March. He was an amazing man that inspired each of us to be the best person we could be. He also pushed us out of our comfort zones, every opportunity he could find. Dad was a central part of those vacations and stories. As we brainstormed various hash tags, this one popped into my head and my first thought was, “This would make him smile.” Every time we use this hash tag on a Facebook post or Instagram photo, it is a reminder that we are doing something that honors his memory, by getting out into the world and seeking new adventures.
